A hidden Treasure: Love

A hidden Treasure: Love

Welcome back! As we journey, I hope you’re taking out time in your lives to pray and connect with God. The creator of all things seen and unseen. I know life gets busy but please stay grounded in your pursuit of everlasting peace. Try to limit the distractions that robs you of joy. Rather, labor to enter into the rest of God. I say this with love and honesty. For there is nothing false with the word of truth. Every word from God is fulfilling and life to those who believe. The God of all ages. Forever present but a hidden treasure of love to so many. I say, “oh how I wish I was rooted in him years ago”. However, in Christ everything works out for the good. So, I praise him for the past, today, and years to come.

Purity of a Child

Jesus is love

Let’s take a ride down memory lane. One that highlights my inner desire to know the true essence of life. I forgot I ever did this until last week. The times I drew a heart on a piece of paper. One end says Jane (me) and the other Jesus. From childhood; religion introduced the name Jesus and his love for mankind. Although I didn’t feel his love, yet I drew countless heart images of our union 😂. The innocence of a child I must say. Then as a young adult, I still didn’t feel the love of God as I heard some speak of. But, I write to let you know that his love for you is true and endures forever.

How to Gain Love

So what do you do to gain this love? Nothing! By grace, it’s already yours. In Matthew 19:14, “Jesus said, let the little children come to me and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belong to such as these.” If you seek, you will surely find. For the Light of mankind shines brightly. And, it cannot be hidden. Run to the Father for wisdom and guidance and he will uplift you. Please, know that life is a relationship with God. So I encourage you to humble yourselves like a child and learn from the Father. For the purity of a child is one I want to bear forever.

Pure in heart, Innocence in love to a stranger, and eager to learn. Full of questions and seeks understanding to the mundane. In the past, I said life is what you make of it. Obviously, an answer from my own understanding of culture and adaptation to life. But true wisdom is indeed pleasant and all her paths lead to peace. By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he established the heavens, by his knowledge, the depths are broken up, and the clouds let drop the dew (Proverbs 3:19-20). Christ is life and the origin of humanity. So, why not go straight to the potter’s house with your questions than take answers from the clay. Trusting in him and not on self understanding yields a straight path. For it is better to be wise than to live foolishly in our own ways.

Hidden Treasure

hidden treasure of love

Christ is the hidden treasure of love. He was crucified and buried. But in faith we know he is resurrected. So why then is the truth still hidden to many? Why then do we live hopelessly in fear and doubt? This is because the heart of a man is stubborn and rebellious. Eyes but cannot see and ears but do not hear. Seek the love of God with all your heart. His deep perfect love casts out all fear. Love that stretches far beyond the ocean lines. An unfailing love that neither present nor future, height nor depth, or anything else in creation can separate you from his love found in Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 8:39). Don’t be disheartened for the love of God doesn’t hinder you. Rather, it brings life in abundance of heart, peace, and comfort by the Spirit.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, Abba, Father”

Romans 8:15

Rest in Hope

The Spirit given by God comes with everlasting peace. Both in joy and sorrow. Living in freedom is to live in uncertainty. However, as children of God we are loved and never forsaken. And the glory of God will surely be revealed. For our hope lies in the resurrection of Christ. Truth that overcomes all shame. So, to the child in me I say rejoice because I have the hidden treasure in jars of clay that shows the power of the Most High God. The power of love everlasting. I am very grateful to God for loving me so passionately and I know he loves you as well. Lean in and seek his ways for its higher than that of man. And you will live beyond your dreams. Stay blessed! ♥️
